Resources and Information: Houston
Houston
The entire city of Houston is under curfew from 9pm to 6am. People are urged to stay off the streets and remain indoors all week during these hours. Many stores are now starting to reopen.
Watch out for blown out windows from skyscrapers downtown. There is glass around the JP Morgan building on the street.
Normal garbage and heavy trash operations (pickup) have returned to normal as of Monday. The Houston Solid Waste Management Department has opened its neighborhood depositories to accommodate for additional storm debris from people who live in Houston, 7 days per week. Hours of operation will be 9am-7pm.
The 3rd and 4th wards of Houston have many oak trees down. Much of the floodwaters have now receded. Many homes in this area have damage from debris and downed trees.
